Chair Yoga is growing in popularity – this is no surprise as it makes yoga accessible to groups of people who find traditional asana challenging.

It is great for those who,
- Are wanting gentle movement to keep supple
- Have limited strength to stand
- Have an injury or disability which makes standing difficult
- Use a wheelchair
This course takes you through how to adapt limbering, traditional poses, cooling and relaxation to a chair based practice.
By the end of the course, you will have a self created manual that you can use to plan a variety of chair yoga practices.
Content
In this course, we will look at suitable chairs for the practice and who may benefit from Chair Yoga. There will be exploration of how to modify limbering, asana, cooling and relaxation to a chair based practice and the creative use of props.
